We achieve optimization through technology, which provides solutions for monitoring and improving our operations, ensuring the most efficient use of resources. We aim to reduce waste and enhance efficiency without compromising quality. We want to make our efforts in environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance visible while continuously seeking new ways to improve and optimize our operations.

Environmental Strategy

    • We operate Euro 6 trucks, ensuring that our vehicles are more environmentally friendly than previous models, as they emit lower levels of nitrogen oxides, hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and particles.

    • We offer HVO diesel as an option for customers seeking a greener solution. HVO diesel is 100% fossil-free and produced from waste products.

    • With Volvo Connect and TruckPlanner, we track driving routes, rest time, fuel consumption, idle time, and speed. These tools help us analyze and optimize our transport efficiency.

    • We have implemented advanced technologies such as tire pressure monitoring and I-SEE topography systems to optimize driving efficiency, while extending vehicle lifespan.

    • Waste sorting has been implemented at our rented facilities.

    • Reduce total CO2 emissions by 5% by the end of 2029.

    • Raise awareness of HVO diesel and its benefits among our customers, encouraging more to choose this option, despite its current price gap compared to standard fuel.

    • Continuously improve fuel efficiency through training and new technologies.

    • Annually document and analyze our CO2 data.

 

Social Strategy:

    • We perform regular workplace assessments (APV) to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

    • We follow the mandatory driver training, including eco-driving, load securing, ergonomics, and nutrition.

    • We closely monitor rest time regulations, to ensure the drivers well being and safety.

    • We support an informal work environment with open, respectful, and active dialogue.

    • We support local associations and clubs in Præstø, through sponsorships including:

    4H gården - an organization for children, that offers nature experiences, creative activities and gardening.

    Præstø Tennis Club.

    The cultural association Pakhus 8.

    Sponsor and board member of Præstøs coastal protection.

    Knæk Cancer (a fundraising event for cancer research).

    And others.

    • Maintain and potentially increase employee satisfaction while preventing workplace accidents.

    • Continue supporting sponsorships and charitable initiatives.

    • Increase the percentage of women in the company by 5% by the end of 2029.

    • Continuously monitor, analyze, and report our environmental impact.

    • Monitoring fuel consumption and calculating CO2 emissions using data from Volvo Connect.

 

Volvo Trucks as a Strategic Choice

Volvo trucks are our preferred choice for several reasons. Our choice is based on a balance of economic, environmental, and practical considerations:

  • Volvo trucks have a robust design and long lifespan, making them an economical and environmentally responsible choice. Their reliability reduces downtime and repair costs.

  • Our Euro 6 trucks remain one of the best and most reliable choices in 2025.

  • Volvo trucks have a strong resale value and high recyclability, supporting a more circular resource approach.

  • By using Volvo Connect, we monitor and optimize vehicle performance, including idling, driving patterns, and fuel consumption. This data helps minimize fuel use and extend vehicle lifespan.

Alternative Vehicles

We have explored the possibility of investing in electric trucks, but have decided to wait for several reasons:

  • Insufficient documentation on electric truck lifespan.

  • The environmental impact of production and disposal remains unclear, as these processes may involve potential complex challenges.

  • Electric trucks risk losing their value more quickly due to the limitation of the batteries lifespan. This creates concern about what will happen to the vehicles, after their ‘end of life’.

  • As a result, we plan to keep using vehicles with tested technology that allows us to monitor and document environmental impact accurately.

  • Hydrogen trucks are also a potential alternative to our current vehicles. However, we are still closely monitoring their development, as the technology is not yet mature enough for us to adopt this type of vehicle.
